Serena Ready For Wimbledon

Serena Williams is in a very relaxed mood on the eve of Wimbledon a title she would dearly love to win again and most definitely go one step further than last year when she lost in the final. The result disappointed her greatly even though the title was kept in the family with Venus winning.
She is certainly looking comfortable and started her pre-event media conference with "Hey guys wuz up" which certainly amused the gathered press.
She made it clear that she feels good about things and feels confident and most important that she's "happy".
This year is potentially a different Wimbledon because its the first time that the new retractable roof will be available for use. Really it just wouldn't seem like Wimbledon if it didn't reign but many people are joking that now the roof is here there is not likely to be a single interruption because of rain. Serena says it's quite exciting to have the roof but will not play on that incredible Centre Court till she is scheduled for a match.
"I would imagine maybe it will be fast if the roof is closed," Serena said. "But you never know. You know, just have to continue to do what I need to do on the court. You know, I think it's exciting. I think it calls for, you know, just great things. So I think it's really exciting."
Certainly her main rival for the title will be Venus who has won Wimbledon five times, including the last two. Serena says she has an amazing serve which is a big factor and her long arms allow her to reach for so many more balls.
"It's hard playing a player like that, especially on the grass when it's, you know, a faster surface and have you that much less time to react," Serena said snapping her fingers. "She's an extremely smart player as well, so she's always thinking and knowing what to do."
However by comparison she says her won game is "more gritty" and because she's not as tall as Venus she's "quicker as opposed to faster" around the court.
And Serena has a thought for something extra to do during her matches. She'd like to send tweets on the change of ends while she's sitting down. Can you picture it, towel off, taken in liquids, think about the next game and oops i have to send a tweet. Something like: "Gosh, I shouldn't have lost that game! But I think the umpire will probably stop me thinking I'm getting coached."
She said: "I'm really, you know, into that; mostly because I want my fans to be able to relate to me. You know, actually I love people going to my website 'cause it's so fun and so interactive. You know, there's just another way to get the traffic there. So my fans can know exactly what to expect."
Wimbledon starts on 22nd June and Serena is playing on the first day. She takes on a qualifier from Portugal name Neuza Silva.
Hopefully in a couple of weeks time we'll be saying: "Hey guys, this is wuz up. I'm the Wimbledon champion."

Hi Serena, I am watching you at Wimbledon today on tv at home in Manchester, England today as you were playing against Miss Silva. You were of course magnificent. I look forward to your next match. Since moving over here in the 90's from the States (Ohio), I've become quite interested in tennis especially since you and Venus came on the scene and dominated the courts with your talents. I always favor Venus whem it comes to Wimbledon, but i think that you can win 3 out of the 4 Grand Slams this year. You will win Winbledon and US Open as well. You need your old game face back on.
