As you can imagine, I am a bit tired but I am very grateful for every opportunity. So, if you are in Tampa, Florida please stop by Borders. The address is Borders Tampa 909 Dale Mabry Tampa, FL 33609.

Finally, I will be ending by night with HSN. So, you can catch me live on HSN from 12:00am until 2:00am!!!

Stay tuned for more information, as I will be live on HSN tomorrow...

love you love your playing hate how you don't get proper respect in tennis rankings with all the titles you have. wouldn't blame you for quitting tennis especially after all the comments after your open match. american tennis doesen't deserve you and your sister. why don't you two open your own tennis center for youth in america so we can have more champions such as yourself?

Comment by : Monika Shelton Thursday, September 17, 2009

Heh, when are you coming to Raleigh, NC or anywhere in NC. Also what about Myrtle Beach, SC?

Comment by : Tina Fowler Thursday, September 17, 2009

Here's Serena talking with Tony Anderson of TheGrio about her book, about Kanye and about being on the cover of the Hampton magazine, In the interview she says about the semi-final match at the US Open, "... her opponent earned the victory fairly, "She was playing so well and I wasn't playing my best tennis...yeah I got a bad call, but that doesn't make the match. I think she played well and ultimately she deserved the win..." http://www.thegrio.com/2009/09/serena-talks-kanye-outburst-and-book.php

Hey Serena, I have been a fan of you and Venus ever since you guys became pro. I will always admire both of you. Don't ever let anyone bring you down, don't lose your integrety, because your detracters and hater will rejoice. They hate because, you are dominant in what you do. They are fearful because they cannot stop you, and they will go to any length to bring you down. I knew that last Saturday, that they were going to cheat you. Shame on the WTA and that lineswoman. They used her to cheat you so it does not come off like a racist call, but we all know it was. They don't see it, because they wanted Kim to win, and that's all that matters to them. It's unfortunated that you had to resort to that level, but we understand. Remember that your enemy always want to see you fail, don't ever give them that opportunity. They stopped you this time, but how many more times can they stop you. You will get that 12 SLAM and many more after that. May God bless both you and Venus always.

SERENA!!!! sERENA!!!!!! YOU NEED TO GET A COPY OF THE TMZ.COM VIDEO SHOWING YOU AND CAN CLEARLY HEAR YOU SAYING TO THE LINE JUDGE "FREAKING BALL," CBS AND ESPN HAS MADE IT SEEMS LIKE YOU WERE CURSING AND I DID TOO. I APOLOGY, YOU DID NOT CURSE. SERENA DID NOT USE CURSE WORD. CBS AND ESPN PUT THAT OUT THERE TO DESTROY YOU. FEDERER CURSED. THIS WAS PLAN TO DESTROY YOU AT ANY COST. YOU NEED TO INVISTEGATE THIS LINE WOMAN. WHERE IS SHE FROM. SHE SEEMS TO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH OR SPEAK IT.

Comment by : Tina Fowler Thursday, September 17, 2009

Sorry ... but, at the TMZ site it says ... "The video starts a few seconds into Serena's explosion -- after she threatened the judge by saying, "If I could, I would take this f**king ball and shove it down your f**king throat." What you hear on the video at TMZ is AFTER .... "she threatened the judge by saying, "If I could, I would take this f**king ball and shove it down your f**king throat."

Comment by : Tina Fowler Thursday, September 17, 2009

Oh ... and, I read today that Federer WAS FINED for cursing .... as were others during the US Open.

Hi Serena, Just saw a women performing a broad sword routine today. I complimented her on her admirable elegance with the sword. Then said, now if you would only go into your stances with the dramatic pride of a Russian, you would have the total package. Then demonstrated to her what I meant. Well Serena, you was in the wrong and you know it, but all things considered. I forgive you. Still your fan: Guy

Hey Serena, here are some questions: 1. Would you have threatened to shove the ******* ball down the ******* throat of a large black woman like yourself, instead of a tiny Asian woman? 2. Why did your PR agency have to write and issue your apology? Were you not able to do it yourself? After all, you had several chances to apologize to the tiny Asian woman, and to tennis fans everywhere? 3. Do you plan to take anger management classes? 4. Are you proud of the example you set for young people on Saturday, by breaking your racket, threatening a tiny Asian woman, and then throwing your racket? 5. Did you create the disturbance to distract attention from the fact that Kim Cjlisters was outplaying you so decisively? 6. Do you realize that unlike your entourage of sycophants (get a dictionary), most tennis fans think your behavior is disgusting? 7. Was your PR firm's carefully crafted apology designed to keep you from losing endorsement money? 8. Do you and Kanye West plan to go on a nationwide "We think we can get away with anything" tour? 9. Will your webmaster take this post down, so you won't be further embarrassed? I'd say there's no doubt about that. I'll look forward to your answers. In the meantime, grow up, you spoiled brat.

Ms. Williams, I sincerely hope that you realize the effect of your behaviour on-court to the countless children that consider you a role model. Congratulations on another successful fashion launch on HSN. It was great to see your zeal and zest for the items you helped designed. I purchased two of your purses and can't wait until they arrive. Your schedule has been hectic this week but it was a real treat to watch you in a comfortable element off the tennis court discussing items you clearly felt passionate about. Wishing you nothing but continued success!!!

Hi Serena: My USTA team in Louisville, KY love you to death. We know you did not line fault. If we could, we would find that lines person. We believe she was a setup to keep you from winning. Any way, we would love to buy some of your tennis outfits. We are senior women (55-65) still playing tennis and would like to look cute. Our butts are bigger than yours so we would only buy the skirts or dresss that are lower in the backside--you know, we have some dimples. Do you have a pattern line? Some of us sew. We can only buy online or at our tennis shops here, but we cannot find your line of clothing. Write back if you can and let me know.

Hello again, It looks like you are doing good in making lemonade out of lemons, ride the wave of free publicity, I am definately going to obtain a copy of your book, congradulations on your doubles win with your sister Venus, as far as I & many other people are concerned, you walked off the singles court a bigger winner. I realize you can't read & answer all of these comments personally, but maybe whoever does can relay the general concensus to you. You are a winner & a true champion Kevin

Hey Serena, when you announced new jewelry, I thought I might be seeing the necklace you were wearing at the U.S. Open. A bit of a disappointment for me, because I was anxiously awaiting the new jewelry. Is the necklace you wore at the U.S. Open in your line, or is it something I could get from somewhere else? Of course, it would be Serena-ized to me, because of you wearing it at the Open. cheers from Vancouver, Canada - Fran

I told those who truly have your best interests at heart, and they were delighted about it. Bottom line, we'll move on, but really now, their are those who clearly owe YOU an apology. Do you know who's backing Serena and Venus? You obvious don't. Please be advised, that YOU will go crazy trying to bring down a true warrior with a heart of a lioness! Hey Serena, I caught you on HSN. You're doing a really good job in your presentation. Your Serena Williams Signature Collection is even more beautiful this time around; no doubt you will ace your sales this time too. The hand braided leather jewelry with the bling rings look very classy. And, from the sound of your voice Friday afternoon, it sounded like you talking for two hours straight last night about them was more of a strain on your voice then grunting on the court for two hours. Love you Serena, wish you success in all you do, especially if you ever take up the desire to be an action martial art mega movie star. . .

Serena has two other Sponsors; Nearly a week after her outburst at the U.S. Open, tennis star Serena Williams has scored an endorsement deal with Procter & Gamble's Tampax brand. The company, which sells Pampers diapers and Tide detergent, is running print and online ads featuring the world’s No. 2 women’s tennis player in a campaign for Tampax. The effort, via Leo Burnett, Digitas and Starcom Mediavest Group, is a continuation of the brand’s “Outsmart Mother Nature” campaign, which shows a pesky character, Mother Nature, attempting to deliver women their monthly periods (in the form of a red ribbon-topped gift box). Print ads feature the athlete beating Mother Nature in a game of tennis and hit newsstands this week, primarily in teen titles like Teen Vogue. Tampax, which spent $30 million in measured media last year, excluding online, per Nielsen, will also begin running videos with Serena Williams on its site. The videos, which are part of a series, depict Williams in sticky situations with Mother Nature. The tennis star, however, is “unstoppable and prepared, like our Tampax girl,” said Courtney Schuster, associate brand manager for Tampax. "[Williams] doesn’t let Mother Nature get the best of her." Williams landed the gig with Tampax despite the incident at last week's U.S. Open, when the star shouted a series of profanities at a line coach and was disqualified. Williams has since apologized for her behavior, though she maintains she won’t change who she is despite her actions. Experts predicted no sports sponsorship dangers for Williams, and advertisers Kraft and Nike have publicly stated their support. Tampax’s choice of Williams as spokesperson—a first for the brand and unusual for a category like fem care—seems to affirm that. “This is really huge for us . . . We haven’t seen [competitors in our category] do this. She stands for so much and she is much bigger than sports and tennis,” Schuster said. Like Kraft and Nike, Schuster agreed that Williams “made a mistake, apologized for her actions and that’s really the most we can ask of anyone. We really support her and continue to partner with her,” she said of the sponsorship agreement, which extends into next year. (P&G did not disclose the cost of the effort.) William Sutton, professor and associate director of the University of Central Florida’s DeVos Sport Business Management Program, said Tampax’s pick of Williams as spokesperson should likely do no harm. “She’s bigger than the incident itself. She’s at the pinnacle of her sport. When she doesn’t play, people don’t watch,” Sutton said. Per TNS Media Intelligence, Tampax spent $16 million on Internet and $10 million on magazine advertising through June of this year. http://www.brandweek.com/bw/content_...d43a3d16?imw=Y

Hi, Lydia, you wrote … “Serena. I too saw the video on TMZ.com and WilliamsYtube video of the entire match. I never heard you say fu----- You clearly say freakin'.” Lydia, you must not have READ what is posted UNDER the video at TMZ … Above the video it’s written, “We just got video of the Serena Williams U.S. Open rant from a different perspective. It was shot by someone in the stands, and you can clearly see the frustration and anger in Serena's face as she chews out the line judge.” … UNDER the video, TMZ continues, … “The video starts a few seconds into Serena's explosion -- after she threatened the judge by saying, "If I could, I would take this f**king ball and shove it down your f**king throat." … In our video you can hear her tell the line judge, "You better be freaking glad I don't do that ... you don't know me!" … Even though Serena started saying "freaking" instead of "f**king" CBS still bleeped it.” … So, as TMZ wrote … Serena started out saying f**king and ended with saying freaking. … UNDER the video at TMZ they write, “The video starts a few seconds into Serena's explosion -- AFTER she threatened the judge by saying, "If I could, I would take this f**king ball and SHOVE IT DOWN your f**king throat." … If you look at the CBS video you see that fans in the stands were shocked at what Serena was doing … especially one lady in red and another person who appears to be a US Open employee and covers her mouth in disbelief. If a person advances towards an official, shoves their racquet towards them and says, "If I could, I would take this f**king ball and SHOVE IT DOWN your f**king throat." … that unfortunately CROSSES THE LINE and is unacceptable behavior … as Serena later confessed. (Even if she never said f**king … but, unfortunately she did.) I’m not sure which video at WilliamsYtube you are referring to. There is no mistake though, even if freaking is said instead of f**king … Serena … as TMZ wrote … “threatened the judge by saying, "If I could, I would take this … ball and shove it down your … throat."

WoW! wouldn't TMZ have recieved more publicity if they had taped her saying fu-----? Really now, to pass that up would be unpaparazzi like, would it not? Does it even matter now?Serena is getting more endorsements now that this has happened. Holla back.

Comment by : Abby Lake Friday, September 18, 2009

Hi Serena: I am a 72 year-old fan who has been watching you and Venus since Venue first made it into Wimbledon finals. The two of you have given me hours of delight - I simply call you my Sisters and all friends know who I'm talking about. I am also known for my quick temper and never would have made it past a referee who made such an ambiguous call, which could not be verified, in a championship match. I don't think she was trained very well in the subtleties of her job.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Friday, September 18, 2009

Didn't the original tapes from the US Open media, bleep Serena out when she was saying FREAKIN' as well, so as to give the impression to the world that, (had she said Fu------) she had actually used more profanities than she had? In other words, it does not matter what is written below the video. Fact is, the media gave a false depiction of what really occured. This makes them deceptive at the very least.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Friday, September 18, 2009

Furthermore, what they had conjured up to destroy her, actually became a blessing. So, she recieved a blessing rather than the malediction.

THE ONLY CRACK I'M ON IS JESUS CHRIST. GOD BLOCKED IT. WHATEVER WAS PLANNED TO DESTROY SERENA, IT DID NOT WORKED. THE LINE JUDGE WAS PAID TO SAY, "FOOT FAULT" BUT SHE SAID IT AT THE WRONG TIME. THE LINE JUDGE MESSED UP THE PLAN. THIS WAY IT BROUGHT TO MUCH ATTENTION TO EVERYONE TO WANT TO SEE. THERE WAS NO FOOT FAULT. JIM AND TINA CAN YOU DISPUTE THIS. LEAVE THE CITE HATERS.

From AFRICAN AMERICAN journalist and former major college and world-ranked tennis player Kurt Streeter in the Los Angeles times today ... "To me, abusing an umpire like this, with a threat of physical violence, is simply going way too far, no matter the backdrop. And no matter the gender or color of skin. ... Threaten an umpire and all else gets obscured. Was it a bad call or not? Doesn't matter. If you've played tennis seriously you learn that dealing with bad calls at inopportune times is as important as learning to hit a forehand. ... At the worst, you might cuss and break a racket and glare -- I have, in pretty big tournaments. Like the vast majority of serious players, however, I've never even come close to telling an official I'd like to jam a ball down his or her throat. That's going way overboard, on any stage." ... " ... it's simply not true that guys like McEnroe were never punished or suspended. The men's tour was constantly fining McEnroe, who was bounced for a tirade in the middle of a fourth-round match against Mikael Pernfors at the 1990 Australian Open. He was also, it's vital to note, forced to sit out the rest of the season following an ugly meltdown during the 1987 U.S. Open." ... "So we can't ... say male players don't get punished. Or that white players don't get punished. And we can't compare tennis in 1979 to 2009. I won't for a minute argue against the notion that some -- underscore, SOME -- have their vision clouded by racism and sexism as they heap scorn on Serena. ... But this doesn't mean tennis shouldn't dole out appropriate penalties here. As I wrote early this week, the sport needs to send a message that there's a zero-tolerance policy on threats to an official. Serena should have to cool her jets for the rest of 2009. ... Let her come back in 2010, fresh and invigorated. I hope she wins the Grand Slam. After all, I actually remain a Serena fan." .... http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-spw-streeter-serena19-2009sep19,0,6066269.story

Hi Tina, don't you know that TMZ, being the influential media that they are, could have asked any of the others (ball people) present on the court, what Serena actually said? Is there a clause in their job discription that tells them that they can't tell what is being said in their midst? Fact of the matter is, this FALSE STORY was too juicy for the media to pass up. Simply put, it didn't happen. Angela's account is very credible.

TINA FOWLER YOU NEED TO STOP!!! TRYING TO EXPLAIN LIES. YOU ARE NOT SERENA FAN, AND STOP WRITING ON HER CITE TO BRING HER DOWN. GO AWAY AND DEFEND WHO YOU SUPPORT. 2 SECONDS INTO A SENTENCES DOES NOT CHANGE OR RESTATE A WORD FOR A WORD. YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR SERENA SAYING "FREAKING" OVER AND OVER AGAIN. IF CBS OR ESPN SAID SHE SAID THE F' WORD, WHY DON'T THE PLAY IT ON YOUTUBE TO DISPUTE TMZ.COM. IF YOU ARE SET OUT TO HURT SOMEONE IN A MEAN WAY, GOD SEE IT AND HEAR IT AND HE WILL BLOCK IT. YOUR EVIL PLAN WILL BE CARRY-OUT BUT IT WANT PROSPER. THIS PLAN DID NOT GO OUT WELL, BECAUSE THE LINE JUDGE MESS-UP. SHE LOOK LIKE SHE DID'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH WELL ENOUGH OR ANY CONCEPT OF WHEN SHE WAS TO CALL FOOT- FAULT. THATS WHY SHE GOT UP AND WENT TO THE CHAIR, AND THEY PLAYED IT OFF, AND COULD NOT END THE MATCH THE WAY THEY WANTED TO. SERENA DID A GREAT JOB BY WALKING OVER TO KIM, SHOOK HER HAND, AND BID HER GOOD LUCK. THE CHAIRPERSON WAS SHOCKED IT ENDED THAT WAY. WATCH!!! WHAT YOU DO TO OTHERS, OH, YOU CARRY IT OUT, BUT IT YOU WANT PROSPER, BECAUSE IT WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU.

Thanks for the info of Serena's current and future sponsors. You can be sure I won't buy their products, and I will let them know. Someone had some great questions on this forum, posted yesterday, that Serena really should answer. I will post them again, because it would be great if Serena answered them honestly, instead of a PR firm covering her you-know-what. Does she have the courage to answer these questions? 1. I would like to add a question or two. Are you on steroids? Does the WTA test for steroids? Because you've bulked up like Barry Bonds did. And why do you lie about your weight? 150 pounds? That's just funny.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Friday, September 18, 2009

Oh, and before I go, consider this. Let's say you and your peers don't buy a product of Serena. Please! she's endorsing THAT product. She doesn't own the company of THAT product. The economy is already shot. Don't hurt it further by not gracing them with your dollars. Anyway, there are countless companies that go under various companies to sell their products. Be reasonable Jo. Are you really that hurt by what Serena did or did not say? I could discern your "moral sense", if there was a basis for your criticism. But, you and Tina seem to be more interested in committing a character assasination on Serena. It won't happen as long as she follow the Christ. In this way, she will make mistakes, but none that would be so controversial that the "sea" will swallow her up! And as long as she has her father, her spiritual mother, and her sisters as well, she will be assured to be guided by in a way that will help her to grow into a spiritually rich woman. Nothing, and nobody will be able to stumble her.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Friday, September 18, 2009

I love to write. And as for your comment about her approaching a big, black, woman, take notice of her sisters. Sisters, like me, sometimes have disagreements. However, because of love, we don't hold grudges. Are you really concerned about that Asian woman? Serena apologized to her. You might even see the Asian lineswoman driving a brand new car, fully loaded. You never know. Serena and Venus have good hearts. I'll bet if you saw that Asian lady in a brand new 2010, fully loaded, automobile, you would become her hater as well. Ok. Goodnight. I love to write!!!!

If one chooses to address an issue, then so be it. Unless Serena wishes it, I think it rather healthy FOR ME to address issues like this. If this were not the case, I would be a voiceless being. That's why Serena has Twitter. She gets inquiries constantly. She too loves to write. And if ppl don't see things like I do, I can only share how I feel. I was told many times, a stupid question, is one that isn't asked. I am compelled to interact with them until I myself tire out. That is MY nature.

A website is based on feedback, positive or negative directed at the Author. An expectation of both, is to be expected when something so public as a website is introduced. It is designed to get views of both the favorable, and unfavorable. Yes, I too had a website. Please don't take it personal. Feedback is a very valuable commodity in business in general. The owner wants to know what people are thinking. In this way, they can be informed. Of this, Serena and Venus are very well aware.

Hi Serena, just checking to make sure you are ok after that usopen drama. I saw you on HSN, and you looked nice, warm hearted, and sensitive. You take proud in your products like you do your tennis. I order the black bag, two pairs of ear rings, and a bacelet. Remember this, No weapon perform against God's people will prosper. The people who tried to destroy you will receive the same plan they had for you that night by God's revenge. God says, revenge is mine, I will pay every man and woman accordingly. The $1.6 millon dollars and the number one ranking you lost, God is going to give you ten folds back through another plan he has for you. You and Venus stay positive, stay prayed up, because their are people and spirits in this world wants to destroy you both. Stay in God's will, you will always be richly blessed. Don't forget to share.

Told him some parts of his article were insightful but unfortunately african american men often have a problem with strong black women and react "fearfully" as well. I never believed Serena was about to cause anyone physical harm. Wondering the ethnicity of his chosen life partner. A lot of our successful african american men are not married to sistas.

Serena, saw the interview on CNN. I liked how you mentioned the bad behavior directed towards you that you've experienced. Did not like how the commentators talked ABOUT you after the interview. Completely ignoring how well you conducted yourself. One suggesting that, like a criminal, you shouldn't be allowed to profit from your outburst. One commentator also kept saying how she was fearful that you were going to injure the lines woman. Please tell them you never had any intention of injuring anyone. I have since emailed CNN my displeasure.

Serena girl, I have been getting emails from friends in other countries, and their saying similar things. That your own country turned on you and Venus. They are both appalled and shocked at how easily they forgot about all the good things you and Vee have done for ppl in this country, as well as abroad. They have only known you and Vee to be kind, loyal, and charitable. The Media esp., have grossly treated you guys with utter contempt and maliciousness, they felt. But, then, they go on to say, that this only confirms what the Bible says would occur during the last days of this irreformable system of things. Some of the brothers in MALAGA, are looking forward to playing a game of tennis with you and Vee. They'd better start practicing right now!

Dear Ms. Williams, The recent events at the USOpen were interesting and anything but dull. Apart from those events, I have concentrated my attentions on the role and purpose of the WTA rankings system. We will need to wait and see, what level of participation Kim will involve herself in the coming year. To be honest, I just a little bit suspicious given the way all of this unfolded. That said, I'm enough of a sports fan to withhold judgement, pending next year's revelations. Good Luck with the book promotion and continue success to you in the years ahead. Regards,

Just a word about the WTA rankings system … as some have complained about Serena’s ranking (including Ms. Williams). … The system is based on POINTS EARNED … not by whether you feel someone should be number 1. …“Each week, the Women's Tennis Association releases a ranking of each player's performance in singles and doubles on the women's professional tennis tour. A player's ranking points (or round points) are based on the highest round she reached in each tournament. … Ranking points are also available at certain International Tennis Federation events as well as the Olympics.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women's_Tennis_Association#Ranking … The Sept. 14th rankings showed that Dinara Safina had earned 9070 points (accumulated during the season based on the highest round she reached in each tournament she played in) and Serena had earned 7,807 points. So, since the ranking is based on points earned … and not on opinion … Dinara was ranked 1 and since Serena had 1263 less points she was ranked number 2 … not because someone didn’t like her or robbed her of a number 1 ranking. That is how the WTA ranking was determined throughout the year … you can’t just add points to make someone number 1 … they have to progress through tournaments (not just Grand Slams) in order to earn points. The Sept. 21 rankings are now at the WTA website … Dinara has earned 8340 points and is still ranked number 1. Serena has earned 7807 points and is ranked number 2. Now there is a 533 point difference. Venus is number 3 with 6645 points. http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/page/RankingsSingles/0,,12781~0~1~100,00.html

Comment by : Tina Fowler Monday, September 21, 2009

To continue, … Grand Slams have a system of ‘seeding’ players to give them first, second etc. seed in a certain tournament. Rank is the overall points a player has as described before, … a seed is tournament specific. Wimbledon seeds players according to how they expect them to perform and can disregard the rankings. You can have a #1 seed at Wimbledon because you are good at playing on grass, but have a #5 seed at the Australian. So, a player’s WTA ranking (based on points earned and not subject to opinion) can be different from the seeding they are given by the tournament committee. The Wimbledon tournament committee can advise on changes between the ranking and the seed order. That’s why at this year’s Wimbledon MARY CARILLO said, ... "I'm not sure it's right at all that Dinara Safina is the top seed at Wimbledon. Venus has won it five times," said Mary Carillo, a former player working on ESPN2's telecasts. "Especially on grass, which is the surface where most people think the seeding committee can tweak and make changes, I truly believe that Venus deserves to be seeded 1." ... http://www.iol.co.za/?set_id=6&click_id=30&art_id=nw20090621202901317C729853 ... So if someone is wondering why a player is ranked within the WTA ranking system the way they are, please remember … it is based on POINTS EARNED. The Sept. 21 listing shows Dinara has earned more points than Serena so she is still ranked number 1. Mr. Horace Beasley also wrote, “We will need to wait and see, what level of participation Kim will involve herself in the coming year. …” ... Kim was happy to be able to come back (after an injury and then having a child) to defend her 2005 US Open championship win … it’s hard to know if she will try and participate in enough tournaments to EARN enough POINTS to rise to number 1 in the rankings … but, we will see. She was playing very well.

When the governing body of predominately white establishments. feel threatened in some way, by the emergence of non-whites, in whatever it is, and especially geared toward African-Americans, to keep the "undesirable element" from dominating a SYSTEM THAT THEY FEAR MIGHT BE CHANGED, by those ruling. IT HAS BEEN THE ROUTINE OF THESE GROUPS, to establish "Jim Crow" laws to keep blacks in their "place". In times past, this decree has been effected in black neighborhoods, by implement a curfew, to keep THEM controlled. Also, football teams, with predominantly black players, implemented a curfew for the entire team. The reasons given? 'Because they wanted the players to stay focused, and out of trouble.' However, this rule HAD NOT been enforced by teams with predominately white players. Truthfully, I don't know if this is still the case. However, what has become clear to me, that after this last incident with Serena, their is no doubt in my mind that, no matter what the WTA is selling the public about the numbers game on rating players, In my opinion, as well as countless others, this RATING SYSTEM FALLS BACK TO ONE THOUGHT. You call it.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, September 21, 2009

Is this "ranking" system really the issue, when clearly Serena and Venus brought back the interest of the sport to the WTA, in the U.S. and abroad? Not be overlooked that Venus took the lead (after Billie Jean) in the Equality of Pay for women? That being said, the bottom line is this, even in the days of Billie Jean, Chris Evert,Martina Navratilova and Steffie Graff, has there not been likes of the amount of interest that these sisters have brought to the game of tennis. And there is no denying it. Serena and Venus gets tails in the stadium seats. They get "mass appeal" even during Prime Time. The RATINGs SYSTEM may be legal, but is it truly fair? In my unbiased opinion, I truly believe that had these women been "all American", the imposition of the rankings system would've have been abolished.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, September 21, 2009

Not taking anything from Kim, yes she had a baby. And this means what? She's had time to recondition her body. She's fit, and she's young. Serena and Venus have had physical, as well as emotional traumas in their lives as well. You only echoed what those biased reporters spit out during the interview with the sisters. Clearly, they were trying to discredit and undermine their acheivements. Football stadium share envy? However, these women have proven time and time again, that they can win some, lose some, and come back victorious in their sport. I personally am pained to my heart when I see them being afflicted to a contemptible degree. Especially coming from the country of which two extra gold medals was earned for it. And for their white counterparts to speak of them in such abusive terms in really unnecessary. The sisters know that they can't hit the ball in the box forever in this system. They have other secular and spiritual interests outside of this sport to keep them very grounded. In this way, they can enjoy one another's company, smile and laugh as they natural do, and find the peace that they WILL NEVER experience in this system of things, while hitting the ball in the box.

Hi Hi Serenba, First of all I would like to say God less you, and contgraulations to you on reaching your goals in life. Actually I dont know what led me to contact you, I guess God. I am a 47 year old native Detroiter, that's really trying to focus on being positive and not going back to prison. I have 2 children, that I am not the biological mother. I opened up a transpoirtation service last October, and it can be a great business if I had dependable vans to assist me, I could provide the community with positive jobs. I just received a new contract, with this large company, and dont want to lose it, because I love helping my clients and this is something to help me stay focused on a positive road in life. I was wondering if you and your foundation could help in this matter, by donating some vans to my company. I would give back to you when I receive a kickback from them. I'm trying not to get stressed out Serena, because in life I realize that I have to remain strong and keep on keeping on. Thank you very much Phyllis Bell p.s. my daughter is 7 and wants to learn tennis

Do you actually think she will answer your questions herself? You are trying to antagonize her, which won't work. Have you never heard, that these accusations against her and Vee have been already been addressed. She works out everyday with a trainer. Don't you think, with the haters both in the WTA and the world over would INSIST these women take a drug test? Remember, it was Henin was tested POSITIVE. I would think that the sisters would insist on being tested often so that nobody could question that they used their own POWER AND MENTAL STRENGTH THE DOMINATE THE SPORT OF TENNIS.

Comment by : Curtis Jones Monday, September 21, 2009

Yeah, I hear she's real hard to antagonize. Unless you're a tiny female Asian line judge.

The media made her threaten to shove a f****** tennis ball down the f****** throat of a tiny Asian woman? Actually, thanks to the media, Serena's public relations agency was urged to write an apology for her. Serena could not apologize herself. Because she was not, and is not sorry for what she did.

WOW...I see this is STILL going on! Don't you people have anything better to do with your time? I don't know why I even bother since this debate has well for lack of a better expression "gotten stupid". Lydia, I admire you in your support of Serena, but come on, schools do not teach anything about homosexual unions....they specifically do not discuss it, at least in California. Also, how do you feel about Serena's hitting partner being a homosexual?

Comment by : Tina Fowler Monday, September 21, 2009

Lydia, you made some comments in April in response to the announcement about Serena’s book by editor Karen Kosztolnyik. This seems to be the first time you had written comments in articles about Serena … since then you have been a vocal and sometimes over the top supporter. … Here is what you wrote on April 30, 2009: “Serena, I don’t know if you are baptized or not, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I sure would be blessed to know that P I have two beautiful sisters in the truth. You young girls are intelligent, focused on spiritual goals, physically fit and well spoken. Are you able to conduct many Bible studies? I hope so. I bet when people contact either one of you at the door, their truly in for spiritual upbuilding, I can tell by the refinement I’ve been noticing in you since 2003. I have never seen a tennis match myself. My husband and I would love to watch one of your matches on the court someday. maybe we’ll have to watch one after armaggeddon? By then. I’ll propabably be playing someone myself. I used to play sporadic at the tennis court at XXXX High School, in XXXX On a more serious note, I need more mobility to me get around. I go door-to-door about twice per week, I do informal and telephone witnesses and letter-writing, but I would sure like to be able to walk more with my husband in the ministry. …. Do you think you can help? …. Desperate, but not without a way out, … Sorry that I missed your name Venus. I think you’re both beautiful. I was writing something more meaningful, but accidentally hit the delete button. Thank you in advance for your assistance. P.S My phone number is XXXXX I live in XXXXX I go to the XXXX Cong. Thanks!” from Lydia Y. Lindquist …. I found this last week but when I checked again today the page wasn’t available … but, can still be viewed through the cache … but, I won’t give the URL … since Lydia gave her phone number and address there. I’m just wondering if the sisters were able to help … and that’s why you have become such an outspoken supporter?

No Tina, I'm still fat. I just wrote a comment, but it didn't post. anyway,at John 15:12,13; Jesus commanded his followers: This is my commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you. No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul in behalf of his friends. Jehovah's Witnesses will support one another 100%, if our brothers and sisters are in the RIGHT in ANY situation. I don't worship another human, although Serena and Vee deserves my recognition. Monetary help or not, will not prevent me from being an advocate of the truth. People like yourself, tend to try to find out about people and use their personal information to attack and defame them. However, if you have indeed seen my profile, then you know my age as well. Jehovah's Witnesses care about our young people. Regardless if my request was answered or not, first and foremost, I am Serena and Venus' spiritual sister, and because of this, I will defend them if they are in the right. I await the New World in which no resident will say; " I am sick" Isaiah 33:24. Everyone will have healthcare. I can either get some assistance now, or in the NEW SYSTEM to come. It's a win, win situation. And I have real affection for Serena and Venus. However, I have recieved great joy, in being able to witness about our God Jehovah.

Janet. Please do some research. Schools are now advocating teaching students about same-sex unions. And that they are normal families too. Hey, it is a fact of life. Anyway, isn't websites designed as a public forum for discussing issues? I think as long as we remain respectful of one another's opinions, this can be healthy. Janet, you have free will, just like everyone else. We are not forced to be on this site. The issues spoken, have been in conjunction with Serena and tennis.

It is funny to see people take out the time to come on a FAN website to bash the host of the page. Wow, that is really pathetic. Having that much negativity is not healthy for the mind or body. People like Curtis and Tina Fowler need to find happiness in their own lives instead of coming on here to be ugly in order to make themselves feel better. It really is sad. Despite those who are negative, Serena is still doing her thing and being successful and happy.

You have apologized. Be as cool on the court as you have done all these years, when nobody knew all the crap you and Venus were up against from haters and racists who called you names during play, and commentators who frequently undermined your game as one of power only, even when your clearly were always the best in your game, and as you experienced some fans who cheered for foreigners over a fellow American. You have taken a lot and and deserve to get past blowing your cool this time, for what really was a lousy call. Stay positive and stay focused when on the court on each and every point (like Nadal).

Hi all, No matter what, people on top have haters. Mariah Carey once made a comment on Tweeter about people hating on her, she said “Its funny when haters get on here and think they're irking me when it actually makes me lmao and appreciate everyone else that much more.” And then I think about what Tyra Banks says about haters, Tyra said, “No matter what you do in life, people will try to cut you down, I’ve been called every name in the book, so if you want to be Americas Next Top Model, you have to be strong.” In other words Tyra is saying if you have thin skin then being on top is no place for you. Well, Serena has been on top for a long time and has the iron plated skin to prove it; except for her lips, like this ad http://www.bellasugar.com/3281620 says; “I'd imagine lunging for a drop shot would cause some wind-chapped lips over time.” But Serena thinks of everything, that's why she developed MISSION Skincare™ Pomegranate Lip Balmer “With an added base including coconut oil, beeswax, and cocoa butter for moisture, it's free of preservatives/ parabens making it the natural choice,” So armed with her Lip Balmer Serena is ready for anything, haters off the court, and wind-chapped lips on the court. Loving you Serena. ♥ ♥ ♥

Does that make Serena a "hater" too? Are you a "hater" if you threaten to shove a f****** tennis ball down someone's f****** throat? And then you go back a second time with more threats? And then you lie about it? And then you don't apologize until your PR firm writes one for you? Sure seems like "hatin'" to me.

Hey Serena and her fans. Look who's coming back, Justine Henin. Sounds suspicious. All of a sudden she's coming back to play next year. Its amazing how the plan was suppose to work. Destroy Serena in the media, Then tear Serena character down to lift up these two Belgiums. Those of us who still believe in brotherly love and believe in the Williams sisters, lets watch the drama display. Lets band together in prayer to pray to God, whatever they have tried to do, God will not allow the enemy to destroy our American girls, Serena and Venus over the two Belguims. Lets support them. Read the tennischannel news and see how they are preparing Henin return. Makes you think. Keep praying, I know God will change and turn things around and around and around. Have faith and believe.

From the Sep 3, 2008 article by Aaress Lawless: ‘On-Court Coaching, New Calendar and Ranking System for 2009 Tennis Season’ …“The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour announced on Wednesday its landmark 2009 Roadmap calendar, featuring the most sweeping reforms in Tour history to the circuit structure. Among the changes expected for 2009 are on-court coaching at all events, a streamlined and healthy calendar, and a new rankings formula. The reforms are designed to create a more fan friendly and healthier structure to more consistently deliver stars to top events and reduce player withdrawals.” … “Seven-time Grand Slam champion VENUS WILLIAMS is one of the players lauding the new changes.” …. “The Roadmap calendar is a great example of players and tournaments working together to make our sport better for fans, better for players and better for tournaments,” SAID TENNIS CHAMPION AND PLAYERS’ COUNCIL MEMBER VENUS WILLIAMS.” … “I’m proud to have been a part of a collaborative process that will result in what we hope will be the Tour’s best ever structure and product.” ….. Vee was “proud to have been a part of a collaborative process” that resulted in a new rankings system …. In my unbiased opinion, I truly believe that had these women been "all American", the imposition of the rankings system would've have been abolished.” … I guess she didn’t know that Vee was a MEMBER of the Player’s Council and was “PROUD to have been a part of a collaborative process” that included a new Rankings Formula and System. … Also included in the structure that Venus supported was Stronger Penalties/Suspensions related to missing Premier commitment tournaments and would increase withdrawal fines, Longer Off-Season, Streamlined Calendar Structure, Healthier Calendar, Record Prize Money, Equal Prize Money, Record Investment, More Combined/Back-to-Back Events, Revenue Sharing, Major Tour presence and expansion into China, and On Court Coaching. http://www.onthebaseline.com/2008/09/03/sony-ericsson-wta-tour-unveils-new-ranking-system-on-court-coaching-shorter-calendar-for-2009-tennis-season/

I feel what you are saying Angela. And I'll respond, because it is another subject. I Don't want to disappoint you, but don't be alarmed if Serena and Venus decides not to play the major tournaments of old. I CAN NOT say what they will, or will not do. But, these women have been planning for a change for many years. They know that they CAN NOT "hit the ball in the box" forever. Their parents instilled this in them at an early age. They are growing older. With age comes a change. I'm sure you know that they have a share in the ownership of the Miami Dolphins. I won't go further. Just be glad that you can now take another journey with them, as they embark upon another chapter in their lives. They have truly become shrewd business women!

I feel like Venus didn't fully grasp the politics behind the rankings system. She didn't know at the time that the WTA would throw a stone at her and Serena, then hide their hand. I believe that the rankings systems was implemented, to keep top seeded Venus and Serena playing games, despite injurious, or they would be fined points. They knew the core values of these women, and that they wouldn't play Indian Wells. Serena was fined $400,000, will Venus was fined $200,000. According to correspondents of Indian Wells, on March 21, 2009. I can believe that the sisters, esp. Venus put some trust in the WTA's governing body, which includes some well known tennis icons. I may be wrong, but I don't think I'm too far off. When Serena found out she lost her #1 ranking, she seemed sort of shocked. She got over it and moved on. You do notice that even though she had won Australian Open and Wimbledon, they never did give her the #1 ranking. The ranking system, in my opinion, is an entrapment, to keep these women playing, and striving to maintain their ranking in the tennis world. The WTA was for sure they had to rabbits. And that dangling a carrot in their faces, would keep them in subjection to the system. Their own countrymen turned on them so fast, and so furious. WOE!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, what do we hear? These women have become share owners of the Miami Dolphins! Who are THEY? VENUS AND SERENA BABY!!!!

S, I realy mean this. It's something I can't get out of my head. With Klijster back and now Henin announcing her com-back. Isn't it your turn to take a leave. You're on top now and I believe you don't have anything to loose. I suppose you have contracts and things, but you deserve a leave, Think it over. If I'm wrong is O.K. too.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Serena and Venus. You have just made the most lucrative business deal that two women of your caliber has ever made in history! Because, even if the Dolphins don't play to expectations, you have some MASTERS, who will make sure that your cup (stadium) is full in summertime.

Comment by : Tina Fowler Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Lydia Lindquist, you do Venus a disservice by writing, “I feel like Venus didn't fully grasp …” what she was part of. Venus was a member of the Player’s Council. She said she was part of the “collaborative process” … and said, “The Roadmap calendar is a great example of players and tournaments working together to make our sport better for fans, better for players and better for tournaments.” … “I’m proud to have been a part of a collaborative process that will result in what we hope will be the Tour’s best ever structure and product.” Part of the “collaborative process” that Venus was part of produced the Ranking System followed in 2009. . http://www.onthebaseline.com/2008/09/03/sony-ericsson-wta-tour-unveils-new-ranking-system-on-court-coaching-shorter-calendar-for-2009-tennis-season/

Lydia Lindquist also wrote, “When Serena found out she lost her #1 ranking, she seemed sort of shocked. … You do notice that even though she had won Australian Open and Wimbledon, they never did give her the #1 ranking.” … Please try to remember, Lydia … the WTA can’t GIVE someone the #1 ranking … The system is based on POINTS EARNED … not by whether you feel someone should be number 1. “… A player's ranking points (or round points) are based on the highest round she reached in each tournament. … Ranking points are also available at certain International Tennis Federation events as well as the Olympics.”

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Tuesday, September 22, 2009

I could certainly apologize if indeed I did Venus a disservice. However, I don't believe I insulted her intelligence. Even lawyers have to examine, and re-examine the "fine Print" on supposedly legitimate contracts and agreements. It's a fact of life. Hidden fees on purchases of any kind, almost always need a legal aid to help discern what A BINDING CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT IS HIDING. So, many Judges and Lawyers have to hire in professional to make sure their arent' any hidden loop holes. It happens on a daily basis in business.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Tuesday, September 22, 2009

And Points earned Tina? I would think that filling a stadium during Prime Time, not once, but throughout their tennis careers, and reviving the interest in tennis in this country and abroad . . . And the WTA would worry about a mere points earned? Sure everyone should follow set rules if they have an agreement. But clearly the WTA got much more out the deal than Serena and Venus, on so many levels. How utterly sickening. Could they have created a more flexible system, to benefit all? being as Serena and Venus WERE American tennis? Not in the sense that they were above the sport they played, but in the sense that their was no other American players who could dominate and when against foreign countries. The resounding answer is no!

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Now, come forth Kim Clijsters. Come forth Justin Henin. Mainstream American is rooting for you two. Let Venus and Serena take it to another level. It will be a beautiful thing to see. Let the sisters go forth and conquer. And let them finish their conquest. I believe you two are going to shock the world even further.

Hey Serena. I think if you want to stay long with the game, you need to focus more since Henin and Clijster is back. It looks like you feel a bit confused when playing against them. Please try harder and practice more. I love you. You need to be back like Serena in 2002. At that times, she was fast and furious.

You guys can call me paranoid but Justine Henin return to the world of tennis is very suspicious to me and others. I want to know how much they (commentators, tennis officials, and etc) paid Justine for her return. They (commentators, tennis officials, and etc) want a little more competitive to the game. Mary “Gorilla” Carillo is a very vicious, jealous and conniving individual who wants to see the Williams Sisters fail but don’t worry because these negative agendas have away of backfire. Venus and Serena please don’t focus on these venomous snakes like the commentators, tennis officials and etc because we will overcome their wickedness.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Wednesday, September 23, 2009

I believe you are right Veronica. The WTA and others, need more women to play for the American team. They can no longer rely solely on Serena and Venus to stay on the tour with complete conviction to the WTA. These young women are making strides in business, moving onward to other interests. Plain and simple. They are growing older, and with age, come changes in life. And they are finding more fulfilling interests in their lives as they grow older. They love to spend time with one another and family, so by taking an interest in the Miami Dolphins, they'll be closer to home. This is not to say that Tennis is no longer important to them. They have never put all of their eggs in one basket, so to speak. It's just that they have embarked upon a challenging, and exciting new avenue, by playing a major role in a business interest that will accumulate financial gifts. This career move, takes them on a business journey, that no other black, females, not to mention, siblings, has ever done in human history. And that is, to own a share in the Miami Dolphins. It is realistic that they now channel their energies toward their new "home". If they choose not to play competitively in tennis, they could always teach and instruct. They have other secular and spiritual interests that brings them great joy. Too, you can imagine how this latest course of action, has generated even more haters.

I wonder if Serena and Venus will start, (if they already haven't) making little Dolphin t-shirts, sweat pants, with dolphins on them, cute hats, house shoes, house-coats, night gowns, night shirts, socks, gloves, earrings, scarves, underwear, pj's, head bands, towels, rings, rubber bracelets, car ornaments, and etc.... to bring a "feminine touch" to the Miami Dolphins marketing venue. Just like in tennis, I don't see why not, since Serena and Venus went to school for their degrees in the field, and they have excellent skills in interior design and fashion. This opp. can be a marketing masterpiece. Yes, if the prices are set in order for a child to buy them, I think they will be successful.

Serena, if you and Vee start marketing for the Dolphins soon, I have no doubt that the ladies (and men) will support you in this venture as well. The sport is multi-racial, for the most part, drama free, and most ladies would stand out in the cool, sometimes freezing weather with their man. You can have his and hers jackets. Nice little feminine blanket for her, so she can wrap it around her shoulders as she snuggles up to him. I could go on and on. Just a little food for thought.

She lost the match to Kim Clijsters. It was obviously important enough to her at the time to say it. … What’s more of a concern to me as a Black woman is that people recognize that we all aren’t foot-stomping, “Aw, heck!” kind of girls when we get upset. Lydia, you're still concerned about Serena saying f**king … I think it comes from your Jehovah Witness background based on comments you've posted. But, I'm sorry ... Serena also said “I swear to God” … a couple of times. In the article, 'Serena Williams Swears to God' ... What do the Jehovah's Witnesses make of the tennis champion's tirade on the court’ Juliet Lapidos explores this question. She has input from Bryce Hemmelgarn of the Watchtower Office of Public Information. …. “Serena Williams let loose on the line judge: "I swear to God, I'm [expletive] going to take this [expletive] ball and shove it down your [expletive] throat, you hear that? I swear to God," said Williams, a practicing Jehovah's Witness … “How do the Jehovah's Witnesses feel about cussing?” …. “It's frowned upon. The Jehovah's Witnesses, a Christian group that believes Armageddon is imminent, discourage members from any sort of foul language on the grounds that it's expressly forbidden in the Bible.” …. “Serena Williams used two distinct forms of bad language in the course of her weekend tirade: taking the Lord's name in vain ("I swear to God") and plain old profanity ("[expletive]"). The first is a blatant violation of the commandment "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain."* Awake!, a magazine published by Jehovah's Witnesses, also discourages the second. …” http://www.slate.com/id/2228410/

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Thanks for doing some research. And you are correct. The Bible discourages using profanity at Ephesians 4:25 - Wherefore now that you have put away falsehood, speak each one of YOU (this is as a group) truth with his neighbor, because we are members belonging to one another. 26: Be wrathful, and yet do not sin, let the sun not set with you in a provoked state, neither allow place for the Devil. Ephesians 4:29 clearly admonishes: Let not a rotten saying proceed out of your mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up, as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers. However, we as Jehovah's Witnesses ARE human. We make mistakes. Serena, made amends according to these scriptures. In other words, yes she made a mistake. As Christians, this does not mean we will NOT continue to make mistakes, We are not perfect yet. However, we make every effort to resolve the mistake and ask for forgiveness. If the individual/s choose not to forgive us, then the sin is falls back onto them, because they did not consent to forgive a fellow human, of which God created them as well. Compare Matthew 6:9 -13 - Jesus said we should pray this way ; ' Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Let your kingdom come, let your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS. So, Tina, if we can not find it in our own hearts to forgive Serena, regardless if you believe she meant it or not, God will not forgive us. Serena is growing spiritually. Being on the road, constantly training for tennis, and dealing with business issues, may have not allowed them to advance spiritually in the past. Everybody has their own rate of growing into spiritual maturity. Nevertheless, as they mature as Christian women, they will allow Jehovah to refind them, as I have. Thereby becoming followers of Jesus fully.

Hi Serena, You and your sister are truly great tennis players. What a great tribute to your father and you both for your success in the professional tennis world. The United States has benefitted from your success as well. You have made history, and you should be very proud of your accomplishments. As a role model for young Americans and young people world wide, I felt your behavior at the US Open Tennis Tournament was a great disapointment, and detrimental to tennis in general and to US tennis in particular. I can understand the pressure you are under in a major tennis tournament. Well, maybe not understand, because I am not in your shoes, but I can appreciate the tension of the moment. However, though I can appreciate your emotions at the time, I am saddened by your explanation of your behavior. Instead of sloughing your behavior off as "being a professional who is serious about her work", I think you should have apologized about your behavior and admitted that is was unprofessional, and you should have handled the situation differently. I can understand your passion, but I was extremely disappointed in your lack of remorse. I expected better of you.

Linda Martensen, do you read Serena statements on the tops of the comment pages? She has apologized THREE TIMES on her site alone. She apologized to the lineswoman, Kim C. her fans, and young people. Obviously, you didn't see these.

Comment by : Jo Davis Thursday, September 24, 2009

Actually Serena never apologized, and had many opportunities to do so. Her public relations agency issued a "statement of regret," then changed it to an "apology" to keep Serena's sponsors from pulling her endorsement money. The PR firm's 3rd statement finally mentioned apology. On various talk shows and interviews, Serena exhibited the same snotty, spoiled attitude she did in her post-game press conference. She's a horrible role model for young people, and should be suspended indefinitely. But the WTA won't do it, for fears of being labeled racist. I too, seriously doubt Serena would have acted like such a fool had the line judge been another large black woman. She felt more comfortable threatening a teeny-weeny Asian woman. Pick on someone your own extra-large size, "Queen."

As for young people, four year old children are been taught that homosexual unions are okay in schools in the UK. Many Gay-Lesbian groups are advocating that it be taught in schools here as well. In the news, and just recently, parents are killing families in droves, parents are molesting their own children. Teachers are showing gruesome video's in Leadership Classes right here in U.S.A., saying that it is necessary in order for another September 11, to not take place (it will). Parents disrespect their own households by living with the opposite sex without being married. Parents smoke in the house with small children. Movies and T.V. shows advocate sex, murder, violence, immorality. Come now, shame the Devil and tell the truth. Constant feeding of these things are brought into are home, while the media, continues to victimize celebrities, and their families (paparazzi included). What Serena did doesn't even come close Jo. Hi, Serena. I'm a new admirer. I won't call myself a "fan"atic. :-) I just want to say that I'm sure this is not the first mistake you've made in your life and it certainly won't be the last. I know it's hard to house such a fiercely competitive spirt, a sense of being an underdog, being told you're nothing by people that feel entitled to things you work for, and a humble Christian attitude all in the same body. Balancing those diametrically opposed spirits/attitudes can cause one to explode, or implode. When it's all said and done, this is just a game. The work you do in Africa, the work you do serving Jehovah God, that's life. That's worth sacrifice. So, keep what's important at the front of your mind and try to play professional tennis for fun. Keep your head up and keep your expectations high! Love ya, sis.

In this way, they can enjoy one another's company, smile and laugh as they natural do, and find the peace that they WILL NEVER experience in this system of things, while hitting the ball in the box. lydia Lindquist Monday, September 21, 2009 Not taking anything from Kim, yes she had a baby. I just love you! Lydia, Thanks so much.. Do some of you people know Serena needs some rest! Gosh! Serena been going non stop,.Whats wrong with some of your... Let Serena get some rest..

Serena, I just saw you on "Tyra" and I really enjoyed the interview. It is so nice to see you shine off the court! Thank you for your example on "staying the course." May God continue to bless you and your family.

Hi Serena I have seen you so much on Martha Stewart, Tyra, HSN, Regis and Kelly and you look great and as always carry yourself with grace, dignity and elegance. I will only say about your singles match, RIDICULOUS. We were waiting for you to serve an ace and oh well I think you know you could have behaved better but who would have after they seem to be cheating with your calls. #12 is on the way for you and congrats to you and Venus on your doubles. The military loves you and roots for you and Venus always so real AMERICANS do love you both. I wish you would come to Fort Hood, Texas I got your 1st book from our Barnes and Nobles and I would love for you to one day sign it. By the way anyone on here writing you negatively is not your real fan. Tennis would not be great if it were not for you, your sister and the real 1st family of tennis. BE STRONG and We will be watching. I plan to attend the US OPEN next year so no pressure (LOL) but I plan to see you holding that trophy. GO

TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE, BECAUSE THEY HAVE A GOOD REWARD FOR THEIR HARD WORK. FOR IF ONE OF THEM FALLS, THE OTHER ONE CAN RAISE HIS PARTNER UP. BUT HOW WILL IT BE WITH JUST THE ONE THAT FALLS WHEN THERE IS NOT ANOTHER TO RAISE HIM (HER) UP? ALSO, IF TWO LIE DOWN TOGETHER THEY CERTAINLY WILL GET WARM; BUT HOW CAN JUST ONE KEEP WARM? AND IF SOMEBODY COULD OVERPOWER ONE ALONE, TWO TOGETHER COULD MAKE A STAND AGAINST HIM (HER). AND A THREEFOLD CORD CAN NOT EASILY BE TORN IN TWO. ECCLESIASTES 4:9-12. . . . . . The application here was made for married couples. However, this could apply to partners such as; Serena and Venus, who includes God in their plans. Whatever happens during the course of time that they remain tennis partners, they will be blessed to have included God in their lives, to work it out. Whatever it is. Nonetheless, it is all the same wisdom to include God in their lives period. They will continue to be richly blessed, even if they should stumble at times.

Serena, I hope you didn't pull out of the tournament in China because of what happened at the US OPEN that would be very sad. Because I thought you were a fighter very strong character!!! You should always meet what life throws at you head on with your head up. Regardless I'll always be a fan of yours and Venus.

Comment by : Jo Davis Friday, September 25, 2009

Nice clip from the Tyra show. It's good to see that Serena didn't threaten anyone (on camera anyway). Did she design her outfit? If so, she really should hire a professional designer. That is not flattering on a muscle-bound, body-builder type figure.

Comment by : RON ENNIS Friday, September 25, 2009

JO DAVIS How can you say she is muscle bound or have a body builder type body? Not even close woman body builders are 10 times more muscular. Serena has one of the most fittest bodies of all female athletes in any sport.( except woman sprinters ) She has a very womanly figure who is very tone and yes some muscle but definitly not muscle bound by any means!!

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Friday, September 25, 2009

It's funny how females?, can follow Serena's every move, then take the time to "vomit a frog" out of their mouths, because of gourging on hate and propaganda. The NASTIES are like "roaring lions seeking to devour someone".

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Friday, September 25, 2009

Some of these people on this site are "damning Serena with faint praise". Very insincere. Serena, your true fans understand that you must take time to rest from all the business you've been taking care of for the past couple of weeks especially. If you and Vee can share some of your thoughts about the Dolphins, we d like to hear them. For whatever reasons you decide not to play an event, will be respected by true fans.

Comment by : CARLOS PEREZ Friday, September 25, 2009

Comment by : Raymond Ancog Friday, September 25, 2009

Jo, about what you said that Serena's acting snotty on TV (so soon) after the incident; well, all I can say is, some people bounce back quickly, some take longer, and if it seems that Serena is of the former type, should we take that against her?

Comment by : Elder Dee Friday, September 25, 2009

Serena, Please enjoy your life! Micheal Jordan had fans before and after he retired from basketball. Do not let anyone pressure you into stepping on that court one second before you are ready! Use this time to physically heal your body. God bless you and keep up the good work!

Jorge means George in Spanish. I know, many of my closest friends are Spanish. My name. Lydia, is spelled Lidia in Spanish. It is spelled Lydia in Greek. The last I checked Lydia was in all languages a female. I am not a lesbian. And yes, I love all my sisters in the faith. No matter what.

What I'm doing is called encouragement. I encourage Venus on her fan site as well, now that I know she has one. The last time I checked there was only eleven, her clothing line. That's what I do. I leave my computer on all day. Work, and take care of my business. Come back. And do it again. That's the routine. This is very enjoyable for me. Occasionally, I meet up with ppl who are this site to for dishonorable reasons though. I've come to expect it. Don't expect me not to defend wrong reasoning.

Consider special people Who love you, and who care, And others who’ve enriched your life Just by being there. Think about the memories Passing years can never mar, Experiences great and small That have made you who you are. Another year is a happy gift, So cut your cake, and say, "Instead of counting birthdays, I count blessings every day!"

Comment by : Ronald Shaw Sunday, September 27, 2009

SERENA, I JUST FOUND YOUR WEB PAGE, TODAY AND THERE IS SO MUCH THAT I WANT TO SAY ABOUT HOW YOU WERE TREATED BY THE 2009 US OPEN. FIRST, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO DESERVES AN APOLOGY, NOT THE USTA AND THE TENNIS PUBLIC!! "30/40"AND YOU'RE SERVING TO GET TO DEUCE. YOU WIN THE POINT, ODDS ARE IN YOUR FAVOR TO WIN THE GAME. YOU'VE WON MANY MATCHES COMING FROM FURTHER BEHIND THAN THAT. YOU WERE ROBBED BY A RACIST LINE JUDGE(HER TIMID APPEARANCE DOESN'T HIDE HER RACIST BEHAVIOR) AND THE "USTA" WERE ACCOMPLICES TO THE CRIME. HOW MANY "FOOT FAULTS" WERE CALLED DURING THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT? YOU SHOULD CONFRONT MARY CARILLO ABOUT HER BIASED BROADCASTING AND ASK HER DIRECTLY WHY SHE WAS SO CRITICAL OF YOU CONTESTING A CALL BY A LINE JUDGE AND FOUND IT LAUGHABLE THAT ROGER FEDERER USED PROFANITY WHEN HE SAID, "I DON'T GIVE A SHIT" TO THE CHAIR UMPIRE. THIS WAS AFTER HE TOLD THE CHAIR UMPIRE" DON'T TELL ME TO BE QUIET"!! APOLOGIZE?? FOR WHAT?? FOR WHAT?? FOR WHAT?? ALL OF YOU SERENA CRITICS ON THIS BLOG NEED TO EXPLAIN WHY SERENA NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE AND FEDERER DOESN'T. ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!!!!!

Comment by : Curtis Jones Sunday, September 27, 2009

Dear Ronald: LOVE THE ALL CAPS! VERY CLASSY! Wow. All that anger directed toward Federer and Carillo. You remind me of Serena with that pent-up rage and anger. Now don't go around threatening anybody, okay?

People like this "Curtis Jones" guy I don't understand. I don't think she's going to respond to you, dude....lol You spend every day of your life on the web page criticizing someone you hate? Let's not call it hater. Let's call it what it is, stalker. Anyway, Serena. I hope there's some way for your security to make note of this person. Kind of scary. More scary than anything you've ever done on the court or off the court. Have a great day!

Comment by : Tina Fowler Sunday, September 27, 2009

Ronald Shaw asked … “APOLOGIZE?? FOR WHAT?? FOR WHAT?? FOR WHAT?? ALL OF YOU SERENa CRITICS ON THIS BLOG NEED TO EXPLAIN WHY SERENA NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE AND FEDERER DOESN'T. ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!!!!!” … Federer sat in his chair and during an exchange with the chair umpire said ‘shit’ and “don’t tell me to be quiet”. …. He did use inappropriate language on the court. **He was fined.** He did not threaten the chair umpire and go into a rage as Serena did … as she cursed, shoved her racquet at the linesperson, and threatened to shove a tennis ball down her throat. If Federer had gotten up out of his chair … shoved his racquet at the chair umpire and threatend him … he would need to apologize. What he did wasn't on the same level as Serena’s “torrent of abuse”

Comment by : Tina Fowler Sunday, September 27, 2009

From Sally Jenkins ... The Washington Post ... "The only word we need to hear from Williams is "inexcusable. The only gesture we need from her is acquiescence to a suspension, the standard punishment in any sport for menacing an official. The International Tennis Federation is currently "reviewing" the tirade, but what is there to review? This isn't the Zapruder film, her lips were readable and her words were audible over the courtside microphones: She cursed and threatened physical violence. Thus far she has suffered a mere $10,000 fine. She has handbags that cost more. Williams should help the ITF out: She should call Bill Babcock, the man in charge of her review, and volunteer for a suspension because she wishes not just to apologize, but to atone, in the best interest of the game. You don't win nearly a dozen Grand Slam titles without some kind of fierce commitment. But it's unclear whether Williams's commitment extends beyond herself. Does she subscribe to the underlying values of tennis? Does she care about the overall health of the game, does she wish for it to grow, recommend that others play it, and respect its admittedly hushed, old-fashioned standards of civility? Williams and her defenders argue her conduct was no worse than that of some the sport's infamous others. But John McEnroe at his worst never crossed the line that she did, though he came close at the 1987 U.S. Open when he intimidated and cussed officials -- after which he was rightly suspended for two months -- and at the 1990 Australian Open, when he was tossed for similar offenses. As McEnroe himself said of such behavior, "I can't defend the indefensible." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/15/AR2009091503199.html

Comment by : Tina Fowler Sunday, September 27, 2009

From the African American journalist (and NCAA tennis player) Kurt Streeter .... "Serena Williams should be suspended for the rest of the year" .... http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2009/09/serena-williams-outburst-video-.html .... "Look, I still have great admiration for Serena Williams. I still think the journey she’s shared with her sister is one of the greatest stories in the history of sports. From where they came from, if the sisters had just been good enough to play college tennis it would have been unbelievable. Almost unthinkable. The fact that they are both among tennis' all-time greats -- mind-boggling. ... A fine history is one thing. In the here and now, however, for her actions at this tournament, threatening a lineswoman who made a good call at a bad time, the $10,500 fine she’s been assessed is an utter joke." .... "It was only in the news conference after the doubles match – the third time she’d had an opportunity to apologize more directly than in a statement or a Twitter post – that Serena verbally apologized. She pretty much said the right things – though it would have been nice to hear her say she was simply wrong and foolish, without all the gloss about her pride and faith and emotion. An apology was an extremely important and necessary move, but only half of the equation. The public seems to know this isn’t over yet."

Ok Tina Fowler!!!! We get it. You don't like Serena. Why post the same biased skewed info/opinion over and over again. Does it help your point to highlight the fact that the comment was from an African-American? No, ignorance comes from all colors and creeds. I don't know what ethnicity you are but you are definitely a prominent member of that club. Honey, let me give you a little advice. The more you post the more silly, desperate, and pathetic you appear. You have presented your opinion. So leave it at that. You are only making it worse. I actually feel sorry for you. :(

LOL ok Tina Fowler. I will give you that ONE comment. However, that does not explain the several comments before and the two after it. Plus that question by Ronald was in response to the ridiculous amount of negativity you had ALREADY posted on just this blog alone. So my point still stands.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Sunday, September 27, 2009

Tina, are you related to Chris Fowler of the WTA? He was having a DISCUSSION concerning Serena one time with Carillo . . . Anyway, I often wondered if you were a man, or had an altered ego, or was an obsessed, or possessed individual, because I have never encountered A WOMAN, who is UNMOVED EMOTIONALLY to the point of obscenity. I have to put it this way, because even women who like women; method of operation, is not to this degree. I could see if you were an advocate of Serena, and commenting to protect her interests, but I've only known men to hammer a woman to this degree. If you are a woman, I apologize. But you leave me no other reasoning as to why you're taking it this far. Hater? Yes. But, come on now.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Sunday, September 27, 2009

What you are doing, sounds like it's personal Tina. Did Serena ever hurt your feelings? It couldn't be the Asian lineswoman that you are defending, because most of the "mainstream Americans", I've listened to, could really care less about the Asian lineswoman and her feelings. They are just using the Asian woman as a CATALYST for attacking Serena, due to jealousy and envy. Yes, it's as simple as that. Unless, you are an African American, posing as a caucasian, to generate controversy. That happens also. But, I sense that it is the first of the two. If it is, there will be no need for me to go any further in my defense of Serena against you, because your cover is blown. Serena and V be blessed in their endeavors to not only make the money, but to offer their hand in helping those less fortunate.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Sunday, September 27, 2009

"Why did they ESPN have to go ruin the Gulbis Vs. Djokovic match by putting ChrIS FOWLER in the commentary booth??? HE JUST WON'T SHUT UP!" He even talks over Darren Cahill, when Darren's trying to um, talk about the match." I found this quote under the title; CHRIS FOWLER VENT: FRENCH OPEN EDITION - bY FREAKYFRITES ON JUNE 03, 2008.

Comment by : Tina Fowler Sunday, September 27, 2009

Lydia Lindquist asked, “Tina, are you related to Chris Fowler of the WTA?” …. No, Lydia I’m not. And once again you have your information wrong. Chris Fowler is a sports broadcaster for ESPN … NOT “of the WTA” as you wrote. …. http://www.espnmediazone.com/bios/Talent/Fowler_Chris.htm

Comment by : Tina Fowler Sunday, September 27, 2009

Lydia Lindquist then asked, "What you are doing" … as I wrote to Diana Moorer. .... just answering the question asked by Ronald Shaw.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Sunday, September 27, 2009

I don't believe you.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Sunday, September 27, 2009

Nothing can convince ME of it. You see, I'm not returning evil for evil, but you must understand something. You and others did not forgive Serena. Even when she repeatedly apologized, that wasn't GOOD ENOUGH. She was seen as being insincere. Now, no matter what YOU say, I don't believe you. Unless I CHOOSE to be believe you, you can't tell me that you are not Chris Fowler. You will reap what you've sown.

Dear Amy Theus: You're so funny! Are you a comedy writer? And is it true there will be a Serena Williams school in Africa? Just wondering, will Serena teach the class on manners? And by the way, Lydia, Serena NEVER apologized for anything. Her PR firm wrote one for her (well, actually they wrote three), so she would not lose endorsement money.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, September 28, 2009

So you have money woes Curtis? Sorry to hear that. The majority of the world has money woes. Serena is on her SECOND school by the way. Don't forget She and her sister has a share in the Miami Dolphins. They have been very charitable. In fact, their charitable contributions is on a global scale now. By no means are they "tight fisted." I do hope you can stop being envious though. As a man speaking against this woman, ALL the time, makes YOU look weak.

Furthermore, I won't address anyone negative about Serena on this site anymore. It's pointless. I encouraged all true fans to keep on giving support to Serena and Venus, maybe at some point, there may be a need for them in the future, to assist in feeding, clothing, and rebuilding with us. For all the haters, they will recieve nothing, because they have not given anything of which to build on. Friendships.

Hello Serena, when do you think you might be coming to Southern California again? Thank you for having this web site so your fans can keep up with what you are doing. I met you, your dad and your family when you lived in Compton and had the pleasure of interviewing you as well for my cable television show Drive By Agony when you were about 7 or 8 years old :-). not sure if you remember, but being a Good student as you were I think you might. I am so happy when I see you and your sister in the news and so proud. God Bless you and your family please tell your mom and dad hi for me if you will, and take care of your self. Your foundation and charity are doing noble things to help others. Peace, Lorna Hawkins

I wonder if it's considered mannerable now to sit on somebody else's fan page and criticize them every day. I guess they're too lazy to make their own page and invite other people since it seems to be a full time job for them. I would not want to have Serena's life. I guess she has to put up with some pretty shady people. Serena keep your head held high and we support you!!!!

Venus was awesome when she apologized on national television. Digniity, honor and courage, the things her parents taught her when she was a child was evident as she spoke. I was like you go "girl" how many people can or will, get on national television and do that, not many. She was being honest and straight forward, those that cannot accept that need to really and truely get a real life. Peace

Hi Serena I just want to say that you're a great champion but what you did at the US Open disappointed me a bit. You're a role model for many kids and you should have this very clear. I'm sure you'll find a good way to make it up for (besides a conference apology). Good luck!

I love the way you Serena suck-ups throw the word "hater" around. Tell me. When Serena threatened the little female line judge, and wanted to shove a tennis ball down her throat, was she hating? Or was she loving?

Hi Serena, you've probably heard about the situation in the UK (England) and Russia. It was recently reported on the CBN news in the United Kingdom, that a Christians are under attack. This will soon spread worldwide. Christians as well as others were forced to attend a homosexual sensitivity course, in which a lesbian was the speaker. After she ask the audience; "how do you know that being heterosexual is natural?', the man got up and walked out. He later wrote her a letter stating the Bible's viewpoint on the subject, and that God loved her, and he loved her. She reported him, and he was suspended from his job. He has since been reinstated. Serena, I know this isn't the most appropriate way to sound the alarm, and I know you will be recieving this information soon. However, I needed to do this in the case that anyone visiting this site, who is a Bible student, or thinking about resuming their studies can do so without delay. I feel like I compelled to write this, because soon, as was mentioned by a Christian man on CBN news, that this WILL SPREAD WORLDWIDE. We as Christian witnesses of Jehovah have been worned about this very thing.

The "eighth king" of Revelation is in effect. The governments have given their power to the United Nations to preserve their sovereignties. They feel like religion is a threat to their sovereignties. President Barack Obama has just had a meeting with the United Nations. The churches will be annihilated. However, Jehovah's Witnesses, have never been involved in this world's political affairs. We know that God's kingdom, under the leadership of Chirst Jesus, will soon take over the affairs of this earth. Serena, I hope to meet you and Venus in the new system. But, if we should fall asleep in death, we know that there is the hope of a resurrection. Provided we remain faithful to Jehovah.

Danggg...its been weeks ago and people are still talking... I agree Serena went overboard. She was wrong for going off. However I feel it was a long time coming. The tennis establishment has never accept the sisters. They only praise them when the win(not to often) lol, and kick them badly when they are down. Other players male and female have done more horrible things to ump, refs etc and never received all this attention. Serena makes a mistake and it's world headlines. I don't think she should apologize for the fact that everyone wants. I think she should because she lost her cool and disrespect someone; something we all have done in our lives and NOBODY is perfect. Athletes, musicians etc should never be a role model to the youngsters. Good behavior/manners is something you learn from your parents and NOT be watching tv. For all the haters; Before judging others take a goodlook at your self you will see that you are no different then the ones you judge, this is the real Gospel. xo hotpants

Paul wrote that love is. . . kind. 1 cor. 13:4. Parents who love their children will discipline them in a consistent manner. By doing so, they imitate Jehovah."Whom Jehovah LOVES He disciplines," wrote Paul. Please note that the type of discipline referred to in the Bible does not simply mean punishment. It carries the idea of training and education. What is the purpose of discipline? "To those who have been trained by it, Paul states, "it yields peaceable fruit, namely righteousness". Hebrews 12:6,11. When parents kindly educate their children according to God's will, they give them the opportunity to be peaceable upright adults. If children, ACCEPT "the discipline of Jehovah," the gain wisdom, knowledge, and discernment-assets more valuable than silver and gold. Proverbs 3:11-18. Only Serena can answer this.

God has commanded that we must be holy, since thru Christ Jesus, we have been clean. As a cleansed people, humble and lowly. By all observers may we thus be seen. We're set apart as Jehovah's possession. His "holy nation" and his "other sheep". By all our conduct we make confession, that his right laws we are anxious to keep. As we move forward, It's truly impressive. How by our God we are being refined. He gives his people truth that's progressive, SO THERE'S NO NEED TO BE LOOKING BEHIND. All opportunities let us be seizing. Growing in holiness, walking in light. Praising Jehovah, him always pleasing. He is the Holy One, Faithful, upright. {Serena, I so love this song. It's song #54 from our songbook - SING PRAISES TO JEHOVAH. I love the rendition sung by George Benson. Have you heard it yet? It's on Youtube/song #54} Enjoy!

Here is the Youtube video link to the ‘event’, at 5:15 into the video you can see a big grin on the line judge’s face after she called the foot fault, it looked to me as if that grin was a taunt to Serena. I think that big grin is what set Serena off. I think that line judge should be investigated too, that taunting grin at Serena, after she made a bad call, could add up to bet fixing. Look and see for your self, it's at 5:15 into it, http://bit.ly/tfYll

Comment by : Tina Fowler Friday, October 2, 2009

Guy Roberts wrote, “at 5:15 into the video you can see a big grin on the line judge’s face” … you must be referring to the fan in the grey T-shirt? He is grinning … but, the linesperson “taunting”? No. Serena isn’t even looking in that direction at the point … (see below). Here’s a link to the same video on YouTube (I’m always a bit leary about going straight to a URL that I’m not familiar with – like http://bit.ly/tfYll - so, I did a Google search and the YouTube video came up on the list – it’s the same one … with a camera shot of the linesperson at the 5:15 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-VxYvfwVas

Comment by : Tina Fowler Friday, October 2, 2009

To get an accurate view of what happened at the 5:15 mark Guy referred to … First go back to the :39 second mark when the foot fault is called. Serena stops, looks down and PUTS HER HANDS ON HER HIPS, then she turns around, and walks towards the BALLPERSON to get another ball (she doesn’t look at the linesperson). At :46 she is handed the ball, at :47 she is still looking at the back wall THEN at :48 she turns back towards the linesperson and is already starting her tirade. It isn’t done in response to the linesperson’s face. Go back to 5:12-13 … you can see Serena PUTTING HER HANDS ON HER HIPS --- This is the same point that’s at about :41. Serena doesn’t look at the linesperson until after she has turned towards the ballperson. Serena decided to give it to the linesperson as she was getting another ball from the ballperson.

Comment by : Jo Davis Friday, October 2, 2009

Diana Moorer: To my knowledge, I've never stomped up to a little woman half my size and threatened to shove a F****** ball down her F****** throat. That would be: hating.

Comment by : Diana Moorer Saturday, October 3, 2009

Jo Davis: I see you like to dodge the truth. The incident was not one of hating. You could have called it many things like a tirade, anger, a dispute, a loss of her mind for that moment but it is not hating. When your actions are called into question, you try to divert facing it with an attack on another person. That doesn't work with me. Hating someone and disagreeing with a line judge on a call (right or wrong) to whatever degree are NOT the same things. Anger/Frustration does not equal Hate. You might want to use your brain before commenting.

Comment by : Diana Moorer Saturday, October 3, 2009

For a matter of fact that last comment by Jo Davis doesn't even make any sense. Hating is when you diss or degrade someone based on illegitimate reasons such as jealousy or frustration with one's own life. That line was not a diss or to degrade. The outburst was based on a concrete reason. Players disagree with calls all the time. The problem with that moment was the degree and severity of how the disagreement was displayed. If Serena was hating then almost every single tennis player, baseball player, football player, and probably every athlete has a some time been a "hater" based on the faulty logic of Jo Davis.

Comment by : Jo Davis Saturday, October 3, 2009

OK Diana, I understand now. The opposite of hate is love. So Queen Serena was loving the little Asian line judge. Right? She was showing her love. How sweet. And setting a good example for young children who idolize her. Right? And refusing to acknowledge her disgusting behavior, or apologize for it when given the opportunity; until her public relations agency did it for her, to keep her from losing $$$. Class act. And some people on here are criticizing Kim Cjlisters, who really SHOULD have been the story, until she was overshadowed by the Drama Queen.

Comment by : Diana Moorer Saturday, October 3, 2009

Lol @ Jo Davis!!! Ok i see know that whatever I say will go right over your head or you are just hard headed and refuses to acknowledge simple coherent logic. There are other emotions besides love and hate. Are you that narrow-minded? Guess what.... people can be sad, mad, happy, curious, and even passionate. There are all kinds of emotions kiddo. You should also work on reading comprehension because I never said she displayed the opposite of hate. I said she displayed something else that is better described as anger. Besides hate and love are actions. She did neither of those. Serena argued. Your logic really does not hold up at all. Try again.

Parents should be role models for their own children first and foremost. In this way, when humans make mistakes, children won't have a need to glorify humans as if they were God almighty. They will have a proper view of the frailties of imperfect man (woman). Like was mentioned prior, schools and society in general hasn't set a good example for kids. You've only to look inside of YOUR OWN HOUSEHOLDS, to discern how very accurate this is. Okay fine. People are on this site to make a point, whatever it is. They will continue to do so. I will do so as well. The truth of the matter is, that Serena may not ever read these comments herself. However, based on protocol and the conversations brought up by the media in general, and talk shows, THESE SITES ARE BEING REVIEWED. Wether Serena responds, or not, I know I can appreciate that I have this space to admonish her, and to give her PROPER recognition. Too many parents are not raising their children right. They expect someone else to do it. Last time I checked, Serena and Vee, don't have any children. The bad examples set for children are usually in the home. Anyway, if anything of serious import that these women need to look into, I am confident will be brought to their attention. If they do read the messages on their sites, I am certain they can discern why the haters keep writing negativity. Nevertheless, they continue to make the money, and to share with those who's lives depend on it! What I DESIRE is not Serena's problem. We can not expect her and Venus to champion every cause. There is only so much that they can do.

Serena and Venus have become real friends of many of those on the WTA. Don't think the world didn't observe mainstream America's vicious and racially motivated attack on these sisters for years. They world laughed at this country. They know that when they look on the back of an American flag, it will say MADE IN CHINA. They have invisible back up as well. Believe that!

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Sunday, October 4, 2009

I'm not going on some politically motivated tirade either. The world IS laughing at America, and have been for many years. However, the laughter is mixed with utter contempt for this country. The name calling, racial slurs, and the jealousy of these women is disgusting. If you go on a site on the WM's tennis, called WilliamsYtube, you'll find more racially motivated name calling than a little bit. White gay males, and lesbians seem to spew the most rhetoric. I am saying this to raise conscientiousness on this "real" problem. Nevertheless, this hasn't stopped Serena and Venus from taking care of business.

Now that the attention turns to you - I hope you win the tournament in China, I do wonder sometimes though whether you read some of the comments that are made the negative ones are sometimes - well sad, and I guess to be expected I'm not famous but have come across many adversities from other people who just could not stand to see me succeed in things I have achieved. ohh well such is life as someone once said; these people are not worth the effort. But Serena stay safe and well to you and Venus, I wrote to you recently about your book but think I got things a little wrong, I can't say now, stay well and keep playing we your real fans need you and Venus, tennis will enter a new unchartered era when you are both sitting in the royal box at Wimbledon.

Comment by : Janet Dancey Monday, October 5, 2009

Oh Lydia, it appears you too are biased... against gays. And I don't care what you say about your religion and it being a sin...you are prejudice against homosexuals.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, October 5, 2009

Janet, I am sorry if you feel that way. It is what it is. I am certainly not the only one who has said this. However, it's not MY RELIGION that says homosexuality is wrong, it's God's word. I won't get into a standoff on this issue. But I will say this; FACT: A WOMAN CAN NOT PRODUCE SEMEN. FACT: MEN CAN NOT HAVE BABIES. FACT: TWO PEOPLE OF THE SAME SEX CAN NOT PROCREATE. FACT: THE PURPOSE OF THE ANUS WAS NOT TO HAVE IT INVADED BY A PENIS. FACT: GAY AND LESBIAN RELATIONSHIPS ARE BASED ON sex, WHERE IT NOT, THEY WOULD JUST BE GOOD FRIENDS. FACT: YOUR DNA AND RNA WILL NOT CHANGE BECAUSE we DECIDE TO CHANGE OUR SEX orientation. FACT: MEN DO NOT HAVE THE SAME EMOTIONAL MAKE UP AS WOMEN. FACT: MEN'S BRAINS ARE LARGER THAN WOMEN'S BRAINS. I don't want to touch on human defects, concerning one born with male and female organs. That is a birth defect. That doesn't mean that it's their fault. God promises to correct all these things in the New World. Now, have you ever heard of gayblackcanadianman? He talks against Billie Jean King all the time, who is a lesbian, and an advocate for GLBT. So, that had nothing to do with it. What's right is right, and what wrong is wrong. And I don't have to go into a myriad of Bible scriptures with you, because doing this AT THIS TIME, would take this discussion away from the physiological differences of the male and female, I believe. Furthermore, there are hundreds of thousands of JW's who were formally PRACTICING HOMOSEXUAL/LESBIANS. However, they HAVE become aware of the will of God, and they are awaiting the time, when HE opens His hands, and satisfy the desire of every living thing. I would quote scripture to back these statements, but I doubt that you would appreciate them for what they were intended. And that is, to reconcile mankind to his Creator. Now, if that isn't what YOU want to do, fine. But, for those who do, they need an opportunity to make that choice. Nonetheless, Jehovah's Witnesses are most affectionate. Our African brothers can walk down the street in their country holding hands. That is natural affection. Here, in America, they rightfully opt not to do so, because here, they would have to contend with being labeled. Also, we sisters can hug and kiss openly. This is natural, and we are SATISFIED with that. This gives us all the love, secure feelings, and acceptance that a human being NEEDS.

Comment by : Diana Moorer Monday, October 5, 2009

lydia, I respect your opinion although I don't agree with it. However, this is not the forum for that discussion. This is a fan site for Serena. Not a religious board or (for those haters) a bashing site on Serena. I have my own perspective on the points you make but I think this board should stay on topic. Just my opinion.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, October 5, 2009

Oh, I'm sorry I left a few things out, that are obvious. Men are built to carry heavier objects than women, (upper body strength). Men don't have menstruations. Men have more muscle mass. Woman carry more water. The dominant male hormone testosterone (androgen), is much greater than the level in females. Again, I'm not talking about a person having sexual reassignment surgery. There are of course many more physiological differences of male and female that our Creator has set. And He won't change His standards in order to appease us. That's like me coming into your home, and changing your furniture, because I don't like where YOU set it up. What will undoubtedly happen if I do this? Yes, you would put me out of your house. These differences in male and female simply can not be overlooked.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, October 5, 2009

Diane, I agree it should stay on the topic of Serena, and I believe it does, because Serena and Venus being of the same faith as I am, would think in like manner. Janet brought a concern to my attention and I addressed it. I am not ashamed of the good news, and I believe this is a healthy discussion. We are both giving our opinions. As a business woman, I believe Serena would care to know the issues that her fans face. There is no disclaimer saying not to address an issue, when presented with it.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, October 5, 2009

Diane, what's not to agree with. These are facts. Yes, I've stated my opinions, BUT THESE ARE FACTS.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Monday, October 5, 2009

Nobody is FORCED to be here on this site. If something someone says makes us uncomfortable, we can do either one of two things. Address it, or ignore it. Yes, this is a deep subject, but it's real life. I can't sugar coat it, but I can make it more easier to understand. Janet bought how she felt to me. Deal with it. Because I have. If you are a true fan of Serena's, there is nothing that I could say that would prevent you from giving Serena encouragement. Just do not address me if you don't want a reply.

Comment by : Diana Moorer Monday, October 5, 2009

lydia; Refer back to the end of my comment. I said this is just my opinion. You have the free will to say whatever you want on here. This is a public forum and I decided to pitch in my take. I will continue to support Serena and congratulate her and I said nothing about that changing. I was just putting my opinion out there. I have nothing against your religion because my parents are that religion. The point wasn't about that specific religion but in general terms. Last point: I respect your opinion and you are free to think, feel and post whatever you choose. I am doing the same thing.

Hi Serena, I hope to look as good as you in my "birthday suit", in the New World. The human body is one of God's masterpieces of creation. A woman's body is CERTAINLY MORE CURVACIOUS AND SUPPLE THAN A MAN'S BODY. A WOMAN''S SKIN IS ALSO SOFTER NATURALLY. You have beautiful, glistening, chocolate skin. Looking like a hersey bar! For some of your critics, I know you said in times past, that you are very comfortable with your body and would change in front of ppl in the Locker room without batting an eye. I wonder if we'll ever go back to wearing out bathing suits in the New World? After we all have reached perfection? Anyway, congratulations on your win.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Tuesday, October 6, 2009

IN MANY COUNTRIES, ESPECIALLY AFRICA, THEY WEAR VERY LITTLE CLOTHING. BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. I THINK SOME MAY BECOME OFFENDED, BUT IT DEPENDS ON THE THINKING OF A PERSON. PORNOGRAPHY? ABSOLUTELY NOT, SHE IS NOT BEARING NO MORE THAN SHE DOES ON THE COURT. HOWEVER, HE SHOWS HER GENITALIA, THEN IT WILL BE CONSIDERED AS PORN. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS NOT. ATHLETES DO IT ALL THE TIME IN HEALTH AND SPORT MAGAZINES, TO DISPLAY THE PHYSICALITY OF THE HUMAN BODY.

Comment by : lapinoo lapinoo Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Well, well Serena, so you're back on top! I'm glad you found back the spot you deserved. Safina was no number one, she was clearly a joke. You won 2 Grand slams this season, but despite that, you were still number 2, how unfair was that? I'm happy you straightened things up in Beijing. Now i hope that you will stick with that ranking this season. Please play more! The only reason why people criticize you, is because you play only the tournaments that matter, in other words, the big ones. Even if you have nothing to prove anymore on the tour, please show the haters that you are the world number one, by enlisting the tournaments everyone's playing, even if you didn't plan to play those tournaments. It's important you show how a real world number one should play. Don't choose your events, please! Stop irregularity. I will always root for you no matter what the rankings say anyway. But since you're back on top, i want you to keep that spot!

Congratulations on your return to the number one spot. You worked hard for this so don't let the critics steal your joy. You look great on the cover of the ESPN magazine. Continue to celebrate the joys of life.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Tuesday, October 6, 2009

IF ANYONE GETS INTO AN UPROAR ABOUT SERENA POSING NUDE, ALTHOUGH DONE IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER, THINK ABOUT THIS. REMEMBER THOSE TYLENOL COMMERCIALS WITH MUCH OLDER PEOPLE WHO'S SKIN AND BODIES WERE LESS THAN PERFECT? REMEMBER THE DOVE COMMERCIAL'S WITH BEAUTIFUL, PLUS SIZE WOMEN?, IT'S BETTER THAN BEING A CLOSET PERVERT (NOT HOMOSEXUALS) AND SNEAKING AROUND DOING HARM TO PEOPLE. SERENA, I THINK THIS IS DEFINITELY A WISE DECISION ON YOUR PART. WHY? BECAUSE OF ALL THE ATTENTION THAT THE ANOTHER KNOWN ATHLETIC RECIEVED BECAUSE OF BEING AN HERMAPHRODITE, AND BECAUSE SHE WAS ON A COVER OF A MAGAZINE, HER TO HAVING STRONG FACIAL FEATURES, MAY HAVE SET THE WHEELS IN MOTION FOR YOU TO COME FORTH (AS IF YOU HAD TO) AND SHOW THE WORLD THAT YOU ARE ALL FEMALE AND PROUD OF IT!!! GOOD JOB.

Comment by : lydia Lindquist Tuesday, October 6, 2009

OH, AND SERENA, DON'T GET ME WRONG. I SAW THE INNER BEAUTY OF CASTER SEMENYA. SHE SEEMS SHY, AND VERY HUMBLE. I LIKED HER FROM THE START. SHE TOO IS A TALLER WOMAN, WITH STRONG AFRICAN FEATURES, AND HER EYES REFLECT DEEP EMOTIONS. I FELT HURT WHEN SHE WAS HURT BY THE WORDS FROM THE MEDIA, AND OTHERS. MAYBE SOMEDAY, IF YOU ALREADY HAVE NOT, YOU AND VENUS CAN GIVE HER SOME ENCOURAGEMENT. HECK, WE ALL NEED ENCOURAGEMENT RIGHT?

Serena, your cover girl pic is beautiful! And congratulation once again for getting your #1 spot back again. It made me feel like you already won the China Open even though it's not half over yet. Have a great time in China.

Comment by : Norbert Bernardina Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Somewhere in this whole lot of comments you get on your blog, I wrote once that it might be an intelligent and sensible move to take a leave from tennis. Maybe for a while or maybe even hang up the racket. I may be hurting myself with this thought, cause I will get to see you much lesser, but i only want the best for you. NOW that even theoreticaly your back on the number one spot......why not step back while on the top. For a long time you were and still are the number one. I just hate to read the haters lines as they punch in on your name. If you are realy enjoying yourself...go on. If not go do what you really like. To end with....A big nice "wink" for the beautiful pic in S.I. Love you.

I just got an opposing view, by an older friend who I revealed what I wrote to you concerning your ESPN photo. She has a much different opinion of nudity than I have. She believes that it was not proper for you to have revealed yourself in public in the nude. I allowed her to express her opinion and I respect her opinion. Nevertheless, I hold to mine still. I believe, as do many others, that the human body is a masterpiece. Not everybody's THINKING on the matter of what is deemed TASTEFUL is the same. The question that I was presented with was; "Why would a woman of her caliber find the need to pose that way on a magazine?" I could not answer this. I can only speculate, therefore I rightfully told her that I didn't know. I told her that what I did know was your views about nudity being so natural. I knew that these various viewpoints would be raised, and I respect them all. Getting different points of view, helps me to stay balanced in all things. I am your true fan, and I believe that as a TRUE FRIEND, I am also obligated to inform you of how this photo could translate in eyes of young people. They are very impressionable Serena. I believe that you are still growing. Just keep this in mind. Wether you decide you want to remain in the faith or not, just know that young people are indeed affected by the actions of those they admire. Not judging you, just being A FRIEND.

Serena, my love, an elderly, white, sister said that someone of your high caliber and learning, has got to watch it, because the world will use you to pull you down in unexpecting ways. And even though the body is beautiful, showing it in the wrong way could produce unexpected tragedies. And hopefully this was taken when you were earlier in your learning, and hopefully no sicko wants to harm you and pervert you. She goes on to say, that the world's standards are lowering everyday, but Jehovah's standards remain the same.

The US OPEN is over ,but the IOC I learnt is still meeting. They are considering a ban for one or two tournaments.I pray it doesn't happen. But one question still bugs me.Why did the line official in the match against Klijsters make such a blatant and indubitable wrong call? Was there a conspiracy, and who were the parties involved?

About calls: You must remember that you, the athlete, likely have the best vision in the whole stadium, unless some great baseball hitters are preesent. They have 20/15 vision, even 20/10 sometimes. If you have 20/15 vision, you can see those calls better from any positgn on the court than the lines person may, while lined up perfectly on the line. These people help the game by contributing their efforts, because they love the game. Sure, they can't tell that a ball bounced off a player's arm rather than the raquet. Still, you have to overcome all this, even when there's little room for it. Meanwhile, it's easy to criticize, but harder still to forgive. Yet forgiveness is what our Lord called us to do. I believe your apology was completely sincere and heartfelt. Just think of one other thing, though. Jill Clijsters, another accomplished tennis player, became deprived of her opportunity to finish out the match, whether by service, breaking of your service, or one last passing shot. The diminished excitement of winning match point by penalty must have felt fairly anti-climactic. She looked quite astonished when you walked over to her, explaining how she had won in sudden fashion "without firing a shot." It becomes rather difficult for her to then believe she could have finished out the match, although it seemed likely at the time. I hoppe your future endeavors will afford this respect, if only for the opponent's sake. Dal B
