Without the Williams' sisters, Venus and Serena, Tennis would be nothing!!!. I am really surprised to see the blatant racism exhibited by the commentators and the US fans today while Venus was playing. They were all cheering for a foreigner instead of supporting Venus who has given so much to this game. Venus played exceptionally well being injured and took it to Kim....Venus was the better player and could have easily beaten that...itch!. She should be ashamed that an injured player took it to her in fine fashion and she should not rejoice in that victory. That Mary Carillo, the commentator, should be removed from commentating on these games...she puts the Williams' sisters down and she always says negative things about them!!!. Anyway, Serena, go and show Kim how tennis is really played...defeat her and send her back into retirement!!!. You will be the US OPen 2009 WINNER!!!.

When you listen to all of the American Commentators today, none of them is applauding the fact that Serena Williams is the only American left in the singles US Open competition. If we didn't know she was from the USA, one would think she was from Mars or another alien country the way they talk...they omit this fact. Melanie Odouin was the only one who Mary Carillo, etc. was praising as the only American left in the tournament. What's going on?. This the US Open and Serena is the only American that has made it this far and she is going to win the title...why aren't they emphasizing this fact during their commentary?.
